The extra months are senseless. Plus I have never heard a legitimate reason why the season is closed so long. Thanks for stickin up for the fellow anglers!Trail The Outdoorshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05019998053854901135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6535565652020381837.post-50267464693660015542013-02-02T18:45:15.094-08:002013-02-02T18:45:15.094-08:00I'm a little ignorant on the subject since we ...I'm a little ignorant on the subject since we have no closed season in Colorado. But it seems to me that as long as protections are taken to prevent disturbing the spawn, that changing the dates would benefit the fisherman and the state.cofisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12288930899340581141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6535565652020381837.post-51366390980724751172013-02-01T19:56:05.130-08:002013-02-01T19:56:05.130-08:00As an angling addict I couldn't imagine packin...As an angling addict I couldn't imagine packing away the gear for half the year. That said, I pursue other opportunities other than my preferred species and angling styles. My understanding of a closed season in this respect is not just to protect the species but to aid law enforcement. If there were a catch and release season the DNR would spend more time and money searching out poaching.dead fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00486703331086916287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6535565652020381837.post-52309376765202080352013-02-01T19:48:48.054-08:002013-02-01T19:48:48.054-08:00Nate,

They will hopefully take another look at the streams and realize that fishing part of the winter will help boost money towards fishing and help improve the streams that need it ;) Tight Lines.Trout MaGeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01437393088658564694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6535565652020381837.post-5763372107235696772013-02-01T17:25:20.071-08:002013-02-01T17:25:20.071-08:00I agree. If we are smart about it, it can be done. Natehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15480119588616881226noreply@blogger.com
