Well it's that time of year again. I am fed up with the long trout fishing break and I am to the point where I have got to try and change something around here. Trout season has been closed since September 30th and won't open again until the first Saturday of March! That my friends SUCKS! I am only in the early stages but I am hoping that soon we can get the DNR to hear what we have to say and that they hopefully will at least take a second look at the short trout season we have here in the Driftless Region. I am hoping to have a season that ends October 15th and stars again January 1st of each year. By doing this you would avoid bothering the trout while they spawn and it would help us poor fishermen/women who go crazy in the winter from the denial of stream access. Please make no mistake that I am concerned about the health of the trout and what is good for the trout as well. To me it only makes sense to extend Wisconsin's Inland Trout Season. What are your thoughts on the matter?
I have made up a petition to Extend Wisconsin's Inland Trout Season and am hoping for a 1000 signatures.
If you would like to be part of this initiative please head on over to it and sign the petition :)
