This is my post for OBN's photo prompt. Here are a few pictures that reminded me of the summer time here in Southwest Wisconsin's Driftless Trout Area. Now if winter seems to be to cold and long you can stop in and warm up with summer thoughts soon to come. Hope you enjoy!
Until Next Time.........Tight Lines !!!!!!
Beautiful photos of a season that ends so quickly.
ReplyDeleteGreat memories.
Too many cool shots right there to even pick a favorite. Incredible photography as always...surely one of those has to be a winner!
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo's - I agree with HighPlainsFF tough to pick a favorite, but I'm partial to the brown submerged under the rippling water (think it's #18), very cool effect
ReplyDeleteEvery picture is a winner! Have you ever done or thought about doing a coffee table photo book? I think you would definitely have buyers! My top three photos are the "thunderhead shot", "the underwater brown", and the "hummingbird shot" (I have never seen soo many in one place. Awesome post!
ReplyDeleteIt just went on and on. I kept scrolling down, one amazing pic after another and then I saw the shot of the Gray's Treefrog.I haven't seen one in 30 years. That just made my day! Thanks man.
ReplyDeleteBrk Trt,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Such a short season kind of forces me to go wild with the pics so I have those pics to fall back on in the winter months :) Tight Lines.
HPFF,
ReplyDeleteThanks man. Hopefully I will be able to score some good winter shots of Iowa for you guys :) Nothing better than getting to fly fish down there in the winter, even if the temps are below zero sometimes:) Tight Lines.
Mark,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. It seems that picture is liked quite a bit. I love the way trout look in the water as they swim away. Tight Lines.
Kiwi,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. The Coffee book idea is a good one. I will have to look into that. Now that fishing for trout is shutdown I will be able to focus on taking more and hopefully some better photos. Tight Lines.
John,
ReplyDeleteThanks much man. I am glad to hear that the tree frog photo made your day. That makes my day :) Tight Lines.
Man you paint a good picture...great photos! I must admit that these pictures make me miss the driftless. Such a great place. Well done...cheers!
ReplyDeleteSanders,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot man. I'm sure the Driftless misses you as well. So much water to cover I haven't even begun to scratch the surface. I hope to hit up some new stretches next year. Any creeks in particular you would like to see, let me know. I will do my best to visit them :) Tight Lines.
Your summer pics are great. Looks like everyone had a great time and caught a ton of fish. I can't wait to see you fall shots.
ReplyDeleteSavage,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. Unfortunately our trout season ended on September 30th. What a bummer. Hopefully I can still get some good fall picks of some different types of fishing. Tight lines.
You've got an artist's eye, MaGee.
ReplyDeleteCofisher,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much good sir. Glad you like the photos. Tight Lines.
Looks like a good season for you, man! Great pics. You know, Iowa's trout season is year round and they've got some great streams right near Prairie Du Chein. Can't forget about the fall fishing on the Lake MI tribs! You caught some nice fish this season but have you ever tangled with a 20 lb salmon? That's a fight! I'm headed to Milwaukee this weekend. Let me know if you ever want to check it out. Cheers. Patsy.
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say, bro? I love your work!
ReplyDeleteSo many great moments captured here that I agree it's hard to pick a favorite.
The thunderhead is amazing. Another one that really stands out to me is the stream shot with rich green all around (kind of dark) and one strong point of light shining down in the center, on the water.
Great stuff man!
Congrats, amazing shots, its a wonder you have time to catch the fish as well!
ReplyDeleteI think you could sell these you know, why don't you talk to 'Catch Magazine' (catchmagazine@catchmagazinemail.net) and see if they'd consider a feature?
Loah,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Bro. That picture of the green with the light was an excellent spot in real life. So peaceful, words and pics don't do it justice :) Rock on. Tight Lines.
Patsy,
Thanks bro. I love fishing Iowa in the winter months. I have yet to head out for the steelhead, salmon and big browns though. If I get a chance I will be sure to get a hold of you so you can show me the ropes :)Doing any snowboarding this winter? Tight Lines
Witham P,,
Thanks a lot man. Plenty of time for both :) I will get a hold of catchmagazine and see what they have to say. Thanks for the link. Tight Lines.
