Here is a quick little video I whipped up for BrookfieldAngler and also Bill Trussell of Fishing Through Life blogs. (Both great blogs and both very informative :) I hope these give you a good enough idea of the how to part. Let me know what you think :) Also: Don't forget to twitch these just a little with each retrieve:)
Until Next Time ........Tight Lines to All !!!!!
Trout
ReplyDeleteJust watched the video and I have to tell you that this pattern has inspired me to get into tying. The Streamer would be perfect for some big fat browns on the Caney Fork where I trout fish in Tennessee. I am really impressed with your tying ability; I only wish I could be a fourth as good as you. Did you take a class or just start out on your own? There is a class being offered in the fall at our local Bass Pro and I am going to sign up. I really appreciate you sharing this pattern with me as well as the rest of the guys.
Bill T,
DeleteThanks a bunch man. I actually taught myself how to tie, so I am sure some people may do it differently :) I just do what seems to work and make sense to me. I am sure lessons would have sped things up a little on the whole process :) Good luck with your future tying and I look forward to seeing some of your flies :) Tight Lines.
Great fly MaGee! Thanks for posting. I agree with Bill. Better yet (for me) I think it's a killer fly before you even add the rabbit. I'll give this a try and let you know.
ReplyDeleteHoward,
DeleteThanks much. The rabbit strip really adds the whole dead fish look to it. You would swear it is a real fish when it swims in the water. Give it a few twitches like an injured fish and BAM hold on tight :) Tight Lines..
Sweet! Way cool streamer, MaGee.
DeleteTy,
DeleteThanks a lot man. Maybe it would fool a couple carp. Maybe not :) Tight LInes.
Fantastic!!!! Looks like a fun tie...I'll start playing with this one when I get back in town. I may try a few different colors too - I think this would be a fantastic smallie fly as well
ReplyDeleteThanks for making the SBS for us!!
BrookfieldAngler,
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch. I look forward to hearing how it works chasing other species. Good luck and Tight Lines.
Well done Mr MaGee..well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Sanders. I wonder if it would produce results on the Poudre :) Tight Lines.
DeleteNICE! Well done and a good looking streamer!
ReplyDeleteKevin,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. I am sure it would work over your way. :)Tight Lines
