Fly Fishing Where The Eagles Soar !!

I could barely wait for my new Nikon lens to arrive at my doorstep.  As soon as the UPS truck pulled up our drive way I couldn't help but shriek like a little kid on Christmas morning.  The new lens is a 55mm - 200mm zoom lens.  I have been using my 18mm - 55mm lens for all pictures before this point and sometimes I found myself out there wishing I could zoom in on a bird, deer or something off in the distance.  Finally that moment had arrived and I was off to test it out and make sure it was in prime condition.  I decided to head to a creek I had been eying up for some time now, about a ten minute drive from my house.  I drove around looking at the stream and finally stopped at a farm to see if I could get permission to fish what looked to be a beautiful stretch of stream.  The land owner said to go ahead and fish and seemed to be quite happy that I was kind enough to stop and ask first.  It is always worth it once you do it and you get to fish a private stretch of stream.  I tossed on a Bomber trailed with a small bead head and the fish were hungry and aggressive.  I missed a lot of takes due to the fact I was fishing a new stretch and the sun was making it difficult to read the holes depth.  It was full of some nice looking Brownies.  I fished for a few hours and it almost seemed like I was in heaven :)  I will be back, for sure!!!   God I love fly fishing.  I hope you like the pics.

Until Next Time.....Tight Lines to All !!!!

    1. Kiwi,
Thanks much. It was pretty reasonable price wise. I hope to get a larger lens some day. Maybe one that is set at 500mm. ;) That would be awesome, but quite pricey :) Tight Lines.

  5. Nice photos! That last shot of the stream is about as close to an ideal "mind retreat" as I can imagine. I could lay down under that tree and snooze the day away.

Excellent man. I look forward to throwing them at some huge browns and hopefully some nice rainbows too. I will send those Bombers out with a few small bead head trailers that seem to work well together. Thanks a lot and Tight Lines.
